Leroy Jensen began business as a wire rope distributor and material lifting fabricator based in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Throughout the 1970s, Lee Jensen expanded his product line to include the first lasers manufactured for commercial use, trench boxes, and stone savers. He was a pioneer in the field, introducing the self-leveling laser to his customers. As the business continued to grow and his product line expanded, Lee Jensen Sales Co., Inc. was incorporated in 1978.
